We Are Lutherans

We believe that since before the fall of man God has sought to save a fallen and broken creation.  We believe that God knows each of us completely, from start to finish, inside and out, and loves us despite of our sins.  We believe that the Son of God became human, lived, suffered, died and rose so that we might be forgiven and free. We believe that we are washed in the water and Word through Baptism and that we are fed and nourished on Christ’s body and blood in with and under the bread and wine of the Lord’s Supper.

At CTSFW you will be a part of a distinctively Lutheran community of believers, living out the life of faith and grace together.  We gather daily around God’s Word, weekly at the Lord’s Supper and throughout the day for prayer.  We keep the traditions of the faith handed down to us, and ignore the ever changing whims of culture. We know that the finest way to care for God’s people is to be faithful to the cross and to serve them in mercy and grace, just as our Savior came to seek and save us.

Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Philippians 2:5-11 (ESV)
