Entry Level Competency Exams (ELCEs)
There are four exams that make up the ELCE requirements for the Alternate Route Program: Old Testament, New Testament, Christian Doctrine, and Greek.
Each exam has 100 questions. You will be given 75 minutes to complete each exam. The exam questions were developed by professors from the Concordia University System and both seminaries. These exams are used by the Seminary to show you have a basic understanding of each content area and are well prepared to continue your studies at the graduate level.
At the end of the exam, you will be given your score. This score will be forwarded automatically to the Registrar’s Office of Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne.
God’s richest blessings as you take these exams and prepare to begin your studies at Concordia Theological Seminary.
