When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” (Matt. 9:36-38, English Standard Version)
Dear Fellow Redeemed,
Thanks for your financial assistance to aid those workers training to go into the field to bring the Gospel throughout our beloved Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) and the world. While our expenses in seminary are not completely covered, every gift of aid from members throughout the LCMS helps to make it possible for students to boldly follow the call to study at seminary in order to be formed for service as a pastor.
Financial contributions such as yours helped me to keep my student loan burden lower than it would have been otherwise. Without that added stress of higher student loan debt, I was able to pay closer attention in class, during chapel services and with my readings. This lower financial stress helped me to better prepare to serve the congregation to which I have been assigned. Thank you for remembering us.
Please encourage others in your congregation to help out the seminarians at Concordia Theological Seminary (CTSFW), Fort Wayne. Lord willing, future graduates will be able to graduate without any student debt, allowing them to serve in congregations without the worry of high interest education loans.
Please pray that more men will enter the seminary to become pastors so the clear Gospel message of Christ’s salvation may be heard throughout our country and throughout the world. This broken world so desperately needs Jesus. It needs pastors to teach the faithful, reach the lost and care for all.
